We are so pleased to share this news with you. This summer, the Orford Musique Academy will be hosting a chamber music workshop with collectif9, from July 16 - 22, 2023! Bordering the parc national du Mont-Orford, this international music academy is a haven for advanced students and young professionals looking to enhance their musical skills in a peaceful and inspiring space. For the first time, we at collectif9 are working with the academy and festival to share our collaborative approach and unique vision of the practice of chamber music with students. We look forward to playing music together daily and exploring topics related to chamber music such as programming, staging, communication and collaboration.
The week-long workshop will be accessible for both French and English speakers aged 18-30, and scholarships are available. Students outside of this age-range may be considered in some circumstances.
Application deadline for the first round of acceptances (and automatic scholarship consideration) is Feb. 2, 2023.

About the workshop
This workshop provides young musicians with a multi-faceted experience to create and work on inspiring concert programmes, to engage audiences, and to create notable experiences with one’s musician colleagues.
With a balance of practical and performing activities and sessions of exchange and reflection, this workshop includes several performances including participation in a concert with collectif9. Students will work and play side-by-side with musicians of collectif9 with a focus on flexibility, spontaneity, and risk-taking in performance and rehearsal.
Audition requirements
A high quality video recording of two contrasting works recorded after July 1, 2022 (approximately 15 minutes in length).
