A dazzling program that blurs the lines between contemporary music, folk cultures and urban music.
collectif9 joins forces with internationally renowned drummer Ronny Desinor for a show that fuses soul, jazz, and folk music, creating an atmosphere that is both groovy and punchy, sometimes dissonant and exploratory. A program that resonates with diverse audiences, featuring pieces by Gabriella Smith, Giovanni Sollima, Curtis Stewart, Vijay Iyer, John Zorn, and Jessie Montgomery.
First performed during the OSM’s “Virée classique” in 2025, this concert was presented at Ottawa Chamberfest, Concerts aux Îles du Bic, and at several cultural venues in Montreal as part of CAM en tournée (Montreal Arts Council Touring Program).
